Situated in the courtyard of the Hyde Park Shopping Center, at the corner of East 55th Street and Lake Park Boulevard, la petite folie offers a classic French food and wine for lunch and dinner from Tuesday through Friday and for dinner only on Saturday and Sunday.

Owners Michael and Mary Mastricola are University of Chicago alumni and Hyde Park residents. In 1995, Mary earned the grand diplome of Le Cordon Bleu Paris, finishing first in her class. Mary runs the kitchen while Michael directs the dining rooms and continues to develop and maintain the all-French wine list.

From 5:00 pm until 6:30 pm daily, we offer a changing prix fixe menu designed to speed you on your way to the opera, symphony, theater, or to any of the evening cultural events that Hyde Park and the city offer.

la petite folie is also available for private events of up to 64 guests. Our semi-private west dining room accomodates up to 28 for lunch or dinner. We are pleased to make special menu arrangements for groups of more than 12 and will open on Saturday, Sunday or Monday for groups of more than 20.
